Injection treatments may include therapies such as epidural injections and nerve block injections, which may provide relief and reduce inflammation. This type of treatment involves the injection of medication to specific tender points located various muscles that may be the source of significant musculoskeletal pain. Usually it involves minimal discomfort while providing significant pain relief.

Injection treatments include:
Epidural Injections - Placement of anti-inflammatory medication into the epidural space of the spine to reduce disc and nerve inflammation producing relief.
Nerve Block Injections - Procedure using local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory medication injections given near a specific nerve or group of nerves to relieve pain. A variety of nerve blocks can be performed including
Greater Trochanter, Therapeutic, Caudal, Lumbar Sympathetic, Transforaminal, Celiac Plexus, Stellate Ganglion, Paravertebral Facet. Sacroiliac, Intercostal

* These treatments are not typically done in the office but are usually done under fluoroscopy (x-ray). Our patients have the distinct advantage of being referred to physicians that are known to have the greatest experience and the best techniques that will ensure the best results and greatest pain relief. However, Dr. Williams will gladly refer his patients to the place of their choice.
